About Terra
Terra is a Proof-of-Stake blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK, relaunched in 2022 following the collapse of the original Terra/LUNA ecosystem. The new chain focuses on rebuilding a developer-friendly smart contract platform using CosmWasm, without an algorithmic stablecoin. It maintains IBC connectivity to the broader Cosmos ecosystem and provides a foundation for dApps migrating from or building on the Terra ecosystem. LUNA is the native token used for staking, governance, and paying transaction fees.
How to earn rewards by staking LUNA
Stake LUNA tokens by delegating them to validators using a supported wallet. In return, you earn a share of network rewards (block rewards and fees) proportional to your stake. Rewards accrue continuously and can be claimed anytime, while unstaking is subject to a 21-day unbonding period.
